Digia is a software and service company with a state‑of‑the‑art working community of over 1,500 experts, combining technology and human insight to build intelligent business and a sustainable future. It helps organisations identify new opportunities, harness data and create customer‑focused services through expertise in areas such as AI, analytics, integrations, ERP and defence. As digitalisation advances, Digia supports the shift toward automated, data‑driven operations, solving complex challenges with its customers and creating intelligent solutions that open new possibilities for businesses and society.
Digia uses Workday as a core HR, Finance, and Project Management system. The rollout of Workday in 2022 prompted an AI development initiative aimed at adding a user-friendly interface with AI-assisted time entry tailored to Digia’s consulting business. This is how Timetabs was born. Leveraging Workday’s modular and configurable architecture, Timetabs delivers a streamlined, intuitive experience that seamlessly connects time tracking across Outlook 365 Calendar and Jira.
Since Timetab’s lauch, Digians have saved hunders of hours per month previously spent on time‑tracking activities by consultants and project managers. Hours are submitted more frequently, descriptions for billed hours are more accurate, and billability has increased. Most importantly, job satisfaction has risen significantly. As one Digian put it, time tracking has shifted from something doing through gritted teeth to a simple daily routine.
Digia’s AI initiative to develop Timetabs has since grown into a spin‑off business. Taskey Solutions, the company behind Timetabs, now delivers Timetabs both Standalone and Connected editions. With its large user base, Digia remains an active collaborator, providing continuous feedback and testing new features.
